Literally metres from the Atlantic Ocean, Cape Cross Lodge presents a unique and serene stop for travellers along this vast untamed and seldom explored wilderness on the Skeleton Coast.   Cape Cross goes back a long way to 1846 when the early Portuguese explorer, Diogo Cao erected a padrao or cross on a small rocky outcrop along the desolate and unforgiving shores that hug the skeleton coast . . .  with this design we captured that heritage into this website.
